Great Ocean Road walk

One of Our Favourite Dog Friendly Walks in Torquay

If you're looking for an easy coastal walk with your dog, this is one of our favourites.

The Walk

Starting at Fishos Café in Torquay, this walk follows the beach to Whites Beach before returning the same way. It's relaxed, scenic and takes around an hour, making it perfect for an early morning outing or a weekend stroll.

We start with a coffee from Fishos Café before heading down onto the beach.

From there, it's a simple walk along the sand towards Whites Beach. The views stretch across the bay, and depending on the time of year you might spot surfers, seabirds and even dolphins.

Once we reach Whites Beach, we turn around and head back the same way.

The return walk offers a different perspective along the coastline and, by the time we're back at Fishos, it's the perfect excuse for another coffee or breakfast.

Why We Love It

This walk is easy, relaxing and suitable for most fitness levels.

Because you're walking along the beach, it feels a world away from the busier parts of town, even though you're only minutes from Torquay's cafés.

It's one of those walks we keep coming back to.
